In May 2005 Christies in Melbourne held the auction PAINTINGS FROM THE JOSEPH BROWN COLLECTION, which included the work Williamsburg, Brooklyn by Noel McKenna. The »bidding war« ended at AUD 2,868.00 (€ 1,762.98), 43% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Noel McKenna have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Green Door, Merrylands, 2005 in July 2020 with an auction result of AUD 9,760.00 (€ 8,289.45).

Im Mai 2005 führte Christies in Melbourne die Auktion PAINTINGS FROM THE JOSEPH BROWN COLLECTION durch, in der auch die Arbeit Williamsburg, Brooklyn von Noel McKenna zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von AUD 2.868,00 (€ 1.762,98) und damit 43% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Noel McKenna auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Green Door, Merrylands, 2005 im Juli 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 9.760,00 (€ 8.289,45).
