Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Bus Terminus by Noel McKenna was sold in the AUSTRALIAN, INTERNATIONAL AND CONTEMPORARY PAINTINGS auction at Christies in Melbourne in November 2003. Here, the upper estimate of AUD 3,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for AUD 3,642.50 (€ 2,197.34). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Noel McKenna - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Green Door, Merrylands, 2005, which sold at auction in July 2020 for AUD 9,760.00 (€ 8,289.45).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Bus Terminus von Noel McKenna wurde im November 2003 in der Auktion AUSTRALIAN, INTERNATIONAL AND CONTEMPORARY PAINTINGS bei Christies in Melbourne versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von AUD 3.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für AUD 3.642,50 (€ 2.197,34) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Noel McKenna mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Green Door, Merrylands, 2005 beobachtet, die im Juli 2020 für AUD 9.760,00 (€ 8.289,45) versteigert wurde.
