The work Phase Of Nothingness - Cloth And Stone by Nobuo Sekine was sold in the Contemporary Art Evening Sale auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2019. It changed hands for a price of HKD 2,750,000.00 (€ 314,320.93) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 2,000,000.00 – 3,000,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Phase Of Nothingness - Cloth And Stone is the most expensive artwork by Nobuo Sekine that we have observed at auctions so far.
