Auction result well in line with expectations
The work G3-452 Oval Wave; G3-432 Life The Wriggles (Set Of Two Pieces) (Executed In 2009 And 2008) by Nobuo Sekine was auctioned at China Guardian in Hong Kong in April 2021. It changed hands for a price of HKD 76,700.00 (€ 8,211.94) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 50,000.00 – 80,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nobuo Sekine achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Phase Of Nothingness - Cloth And Stone in October 2019 with an auction result of HKD 2,750,000.00 (€ 314,320.93).
