It achieved a price of USD 8,750.00 (€ 7,451.25), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 25%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nilima Sheikh achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Going Away in June 2011 with an auction result of GBP 79,250.00 (€ 87,675.39).

Die Arbeit Untitled (Mountains And Mythological Figures) von Nilima Sheikh wurde im März 2021 in der Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art Online bei Christies in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 8.750,00 (€ 7.451,25) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 25%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nilima Sheikh erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Going Away im Juni 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 79.250,00 (€ 87.675,39).
