A top price for Nilima Sheikh - as previously expected
The work Going Away by Nilima Sheikh was sold in the South Asian Modern + ContemporaryArt auction at Christies in London in June 2011. It changed hands for a price of GBP 79,250.00 (€ 87,675.39) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Going Away is the most expensive artwork by Nilima Sheikh that we have observed at auctions so far.
