Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Nikolas Gambaroff was sold in the Post-War and Contemporary Art auction at Christies in New York in March 2017. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 6,250.00 (€ 5,842.21) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Nikolas Gambaroff have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in November 2013 with an auction result of USD 62,500.00 (€ 45,935.62).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Nikolas Gambaroff wurde im März 2017 in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 6.250,00 (€ 5.842,21) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Nikolas Gambaroff auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 62.500,00 (€ 45.935,62).
