In November 2014 Sothebys in London held the auction Russian Paintings, which included the work Sunflowers by Nicolas Tarkhoff. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 32,500.00 (€ 40,861.47), 30% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Nicolas Tarkhoff have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Russian Les Travaux Des Champs in November 2008 with an auction result of USD 314,500.00 (€ 247,754.84).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 30 % übertroffen
Im November 2014 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Russian Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sunflowers von Nicolas Tarkhoff zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 32.500,00 (€ 40.861,47) und damit 30% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Nicolas Tarkhoff auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Russian Les Travaux Des Champs im November 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 314.500,00 (€ 247.754,84).
