This price was achieved in the auction Russian Pictures at Sothebys in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00 many times over. Admittedly, works by Nicolas Tarkhoff have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Russian Les Travaux Des Champs in November 2008 with an auction result of USD 314,500.00 (€ 247,754.84).
