It achieved a price of GBP 12,112.50 (€ 14,114.21), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 35%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nicolas Tarkhoff achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Russian Les Travaux Des Champs in November 2008 with an auction result of USD 314,500.00 (€ 247,754.84).

Die Arbeit Poppies with study for the painting Maternité au manteau rouge (1905) on verso von Nicolas Tarkhoff wurde im Juni 2021 in der Auktion The Russian Sale bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 12.112,50 (€ 14.114,21) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 35%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nicolas Tarkhoff erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Russian Les Travaux Des Champs im November 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 314.500,00 (€ 247.754,84).
