Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Winter Scene by Nie Ou was sold in the Modern Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction at China Guardian in Hong Kong in October 2018. The price achieved of HKD 9,440.00 (€ 1,062.96) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nie Ou achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Raising Animals in December 2015 with an auction result of CNY 295,000.00 (€ 41,944.93).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Winter Scene von Nie Ou wurde im Oktober 2018 in der Auktion Modern Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy bei China Guardian in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 9.440,00 (€ 1.062,96) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nie Ou erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Raising Animals im Dezember 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CNY 295.000,00 (€ 41.944,93).
