Chinese Paintings From the Yanqinzhai Collection 「硯琴齋」珍藏中國書畫 Lot 601-731 「杯裏紫茶香代酒，琴中綠水靜留賓」 ——硯琴齋主之書畫收藏 硯琴齋主，祖籍廣東汕頭，生於香港。早年從事貿易，經商之餘耽於傳統藝術。上世紀七十年代，師從本港名家范又新習書，八十年代初先後隨容思澤、吳景略、蔡德允諸師習操縵，並蒐訪歷代琴器，復考其沿革，珍藏唐宋元明以來古斲甚夥。數十年來，以琴會友，多次於港、臺和澳門各大學及博物館舉辦古琴展覽及講座，竭心盡力於古琴藝術之普及推廣。 絲桐之外，硯琴齋主亦雅好丹青�

Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work A Scholar and Rock by Nie Ou was sold in the Chinese Paintings From the Yanqinzhai CollectionThe Online Sale auction at Bonhams in Hong Kong in October 2021. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 20,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 20,400.00 (€ 2,269.22). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nie Ou achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Raising Animals in December 2015 with an auction result of CNY 295,000.00 (€ 41,944.93).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit A Scholar and Rock von Nie Ou wurde im Oktober 2021 in der Auktion Chinese Paintings From the Yanqinzhai CollectionThe Online Sale bei Bonhams in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 20.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 20.400,00 (€ 2.269,22) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nie Ou erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Raising Animals im Dezember 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CNY 295.000,00 (€ 41.944,93).
