In November 2017 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Modern Paintings, which included the work Forever Green in the Mountain by Nie Ou. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 100,000.00 (€ 10,766.52), 67% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Nie Ou - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Raising Animals, which sold at auction in December 2015 for CNY 295,000.00 (€ 41,944.93).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 67 % übertroffen
Im November 2017 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Modern Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Forever Green in the Mountain von Nie Ou zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 100.000,00 (€ 10.766,52) und damit 67% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Nie Ou mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Raising Animals beobachtet, die im Dezember 2015 für CNY 295.000,00 (€ 41.944,93) versteigert wurde.
