Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2020 Christies in New York held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings, which included the work Country Revels by Nie Ou. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 1,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 1,250.00 (€ 1,061.66) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nie Ou achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Raising Animals in December 2015 with an auction result of CNY 295,000.00 (€ 41,944.93).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2020 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Country Revels von Nie Ou zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 1.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 1.250,00 (€ 1.061,66) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nie Ou erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Raising Animals im Dezember 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CNY 295.000,00 (€ 41.944,93).
