Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Composition by Nicolas de Staël was sold in the Modern Art + Design auction at Bukowski in Stockholm in May 2021. The price achieved of SEK 940,000.00 (€ 92,812.86) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as SEK 900,000.00 – 1,000,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nicolas de Staël achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Parc des Princes (Les grands footballeurs) in October 2019 with an auction result of EUR 20,000,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Composition von Nicolas de Staël wurde im Mai 2021 in der Auktion Modern Art + Design bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von SEK 940.000,00 (€ 92.812,86) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit SEK 900.000,00 – 1.000.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nicolas de Staël erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Parc des Princes (Les grands footballeurs) im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 20.000.000,00.
