A top price for Nicolai Cikovsky - as previously expected
The work Candlewood Lake by Nicolai Cikovsky was sold in the Impressionist and Modern Art auction at Sothebys in New York in February 2009. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 6,250.00 (€ 4,936.03) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Candlewood Lake is the most expensive artwork by Nicolai Cikovsky that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Candlewood Lake von Nicolai Cikovsky wurde im Februar 2009 in der Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 6.250,00 (€ 4.936,03) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
