Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Nicolai Cikovsky could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in October 2016 for an unexpectedly low price. In the American Art, Including the Collection of George S. Parker II from the Caxambas Foundation auction, the work Still Life Pigeons changed hands for USD 1,250.00 (€ 1,140.30) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 4,000.00. Admittedly, works by Nicolai Cikovsky have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Candlewood Lake in February 2009 with an auction result of USD 6,250.00 (€ 4,936.03).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Nicolai Cikovsky konnte im Oktober 2016 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion American Art, Including the Collection of George S. Parker II from the Caxambas Foundation wechselte die Arbeit Still Life Pigeons für USD 1.250,00 (€ 1.140,30) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 4.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Nicolai Cikovsky auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Candlewood Lake im Februar 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 6.250,00 (€ 4.936,03).
