Auction result misses estimated price range
In April 2013 a collector was able to acquire the work A Group Of Eight Works On Paper by Nicolai Cikovsky for USD 1,250.00 (€ 949.27). This price was achieved in the auction American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Nicolai Cikovsky have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Candlewood Lake in February 2009 with an auction result of USD 6,250.00 (€ 4,936.03).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im April 2013 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit A Group Of Eight Works On Paper von Nicolai Cikovsky für USD 1.250,00 (€ 949,27) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Nicolai Cikovsky auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Candlewood Lake im Februar 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 6.250,00 (€ 4.936,03).
