Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2010 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction European Noble and Private Collections incl. Fine Paintings, which included the work A view of Via della Mura, Rome by Nicolaas van der Waay. The price achieved of EUR 1,250.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nicolaas van der Waay achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Een werkstaking: Strike of the Ballerinas in May 2010 with an auction result of EUR 40,600.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2010 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion European Noble and Private Collections incl. Fine Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit A view of Via della Mura, Rome von Nicolaas van der Waay zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 1.250,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nicolaas van der Waay erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Een werkstaking: Strike of the Ballerinas im Mai 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 40.600,00.
