Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Fire/Flash/Fire/Fade by Nicholas Krushenick was auctioned at Phillips in New York in March last year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 1,260.00 (€ 1,135.85). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nicholas Krushenick achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Yellow Crossing, White Field in September this year with an auction result of USD 264,600.00 (€ 250,000.00).
