Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2007 Christies in London held the auction The Gordon Collection of Portrait Miniatures, which included the work A gentleman, in gilt-studded armour, white lace cravat, long curling brown hair; pillar and sky background by Nicholas Dixon. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 8,750.00 (€ 12,252.26). Other works by Nicholas Dixon have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of GBP 18,750.00 (€ 20,889.16) in December 2018 for the work Portrait Of James, Duke Of York, Later James Ii, King Of England (1633-1701), Circa 1665.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2007 führte Christies in London die Auktion The Gordon Collection of Portrait Miniatures durch, in der auch die Arbeit A gentleman, in gilt-studded armour, white lace cravat, long curling brown hair; pillar and sky background von Nicholas Dixon zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 8.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 8.750,00 (€ 12.252,26) einen neuen Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Nicholas Dixon haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von GBP 18.750,00 (€ 20.889,16) im Dezember 2018 für die Arbeit Portrait Of James, Duke Of York, Later James Ii, King Of England (1633-1701), Circa 1665 beobachtet.
