oval, 1 1/16 in. (27 mm.) high, gold frame with later brooch attachment, the reverse engraved with scrolling initials 'EMHLR' and dated 'July 26, 1686'

Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nicholas Dixon achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of James, Duke Of York, Later James Ii, King Of England (1633-1701), Circa 1665 in December 2018 with an auction result of GBP 18,750.00 (€ 20,889.16).
