In September 2010 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Nineteen to Now,Art from the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries including Indonesian Art and Topographical Observations, which included the work Bellerophon by Nic Jonk. The result of EUR 2,000.00 was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nic Jonk achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nereide op Triton II in November 2003 with an auction result of EUR 21,510.00.
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im September 2010 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Nineteen to Now,Art from the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries including Indonesian Art and Topographical Observations durch, in der auch die Arbeit Bellerophon von Nic Jonk zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 2.000,00 entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nic Jonk erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nereide op Triton II im November 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 21.510,00.
