It achieved a price of EUR 3,250.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 63 %. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nelson Leirner achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Homenagem a Fontana I in November 2013 with an auction result of USD 359,000.00 (€ 263,854.18).

Die Arbeit Sotheby'S New York, Important American Indian Art, June 4 1997 von Nelson Leirner kam im Juni 2010 bei Sothebys in Paris zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 3.250,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 63 %. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nelson Leirner erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Homenagem a Fontana I im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 359.000,00 (€ 263.854,18).
