Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The faithful hound by Niels Simonsen was sold in the Sporting Art and Dogs auction at Christies in London in June 2003. The price achieved of GBP 1,762.50 (€ 2,532.81) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Niels Simonsen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Turkish sailors on watch in December 2016 with an auction result of GBP 47,500.00 (€ 55,535.21).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The faithful hound von Niels Simonsen wurde im Juni 2003 in der Auktion Sporting Art and Dogs bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.762,50 (€ 2.532,81) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Niels Simonsen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Turkish sailors on watch im Dezember 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 47.500,00 (€ 55.535,21).
