It achieved a price of GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,265.67), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 53%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Neil Libbert - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Francis Bacon, On His 80Th Birthday, 1989, which sold at auction in March 2015 for GBP 4,750.00 (€ 6,567.13).

Die Arbeit Andy Warhol At Tate Gallery P.V., February 1971 von Neil Libbert kam im April 2017 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 2.750,00 (€ 3.265,67) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 53%. Für andere Arbeiten von Neil Libbert mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Francis Bacon, On His 80Th Birthday, 1989 beobachtet, die im März 2015 für GBP 4.750,00 (€ 6.567,13) versteigert wurde.
