Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Edward Burra At His Home, Playden, Sussex, Dec 1970 by Neil Libbert was sold in the Made in Britain auction at Sothebys in London in September 2018. The price achieved of GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,403.91) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Neil Libbert have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Francis Bacon, On His 80Th Birthday, 1989 in March 2015 with an auction result of GBP 4,750.00 (€ 6,567.13).
