Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2017 Sothebys in London held the auction Made in Britain, which included the work Alfred Hitchcock At The Claridges Hotel, London, 1973 by Neil Libbert. The price achieved of GBP 1,500.00 (€ 1,781.28) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Neil Libbert - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Francis Bacon, On His 80Th Birthday, 1989, which sold at auction in March 2015 for GBP 4,750.00 (€ 6,567.13).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2017 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Made in Britain durch, in der auch die Arbeit Alfred Hitchcock At The Claridges Hotel, London, 1973 von Neil Libbert zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.500,00 (€ 1.781,28) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.200,00 – 1.800,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Neil Libbert mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Francis Bacon, On His 80Th Birthday, 1989 beobachtet, die im März 2015 für GBP 4.750,00 (€ 6.567,13) versteigert wurde.
