Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work The Colonial (Diptych) by Natee Utarit was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April last year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of HKD 600,000.00 – 900,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for HKD 504,000.00 (€ 60,937.27). Admittedly, works by Natee Utarit have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work GOD in May last year with an auction result of HKD 4,032,000.00 (€ 478,684.93).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit The Colonial (Diptych) von Natee Utarit im April letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 600.000,00 – 900.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für HKD 504.000,00 (€ 60.937,27) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Natee Utarit auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit GOD im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 4.032.000,00 (€ 478.684,93).
