This artwork by Nancy Spero achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in May 2019. In the Post-War & Contemporary Art auction, the work Yellow Dancer sold for EUR 13,750.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Nancy Spero - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Love, Peace, Glory, which sold at auction in July 2020 for USD 60,000.00 (€ 50,959.74).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Nancy Spero erzielte im Mai 2019 bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Yellow Dancer für EUR 13.750,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 5.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Nancy Spero mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Love, Peace, Glory beobachtet, die im Juli 2020 für USD 60.000,00 (€ 50.959,74) versteigert wurde.
