Auction result well in line with expectations
In October this year Bonhams in Paris held the auction Modern & Contemporary Prints & Multiples, which included the work Einstein by Mr. Brainwash. The price achieved of USD 3,840.00 (€ 3,633.61) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,500.00 – 4,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mr. Brainwash achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Charlie Chaplin Pink in May 2010 with an auction result of USD 122,500.00 (€ 99,037.92).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Paris die Auktion Modern & Contemporary Prints & Multiples durch, in der auch die Arbeit Einstein von Mr. Brainwash zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 3.840,00 (€ 3.633,61) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 3.500,00 – 4.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mr. Brainwash erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Charlie Chaplin Pink im Mai 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 122.500,00 (€ 99.037,92).
