Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Poesie De Canaan by Moshe Castel was sold in the Israeli & International Art auction at Sothebys in New York in December 2013. It achieved a price of USD 23,750.00 (€ 17,236.37), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 19%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Moshe Castel - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Hallelujah, which sold at auction in April 2007 for USD 90,000.00 (€ 65,885.80).

Die Arbeit Poesie De Canaan von Moshe Castel wurde im Dezember 2013 in der Auktion Israeli & International Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 23.750,00 (€ 17.236,37) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 19%. Für andere Arbeiten von Moshe Castel mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Hallelujah beobachtet, die im April 2007 für USD 90.000,00 (€ 65.885,80) versteigert wurde.
