The »bidding war« ended at USD 377,000.00 (€ 330,992.10), 57% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Monir Farmanfarmaian; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Geometry Of Hope sold at auction in April 2020 with the realized price of GBP 375,000.00 (€ 431,378.37).

Die Arbeit The Sun Maiden von Monir Farmanfarmaian wurde im März 2016 in der Auktion Dubai: Modern and Contemporary Art Now and Ten bei Christies in Dubai versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 377.000,00 (€ 330.992,10) und damit 57% über dem oberen Schätzpreis.
