Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2020 Christies in London held the auction Modern & Contemporary Middle Eastern Art, which included the work Drawing 1 by Monir Farmanfarmaian. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 18,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 20,000.00 (€ 22,326.75). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Monir Farmanfarmaian achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Geometry Of Hope in April 2020 with an auction result of GBP 375,000.00 (€ 431,378.37).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2020 führte Christies in London die Auktion Modern & Contemporary Middle Eastern Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Drawing 1 von Monir Farmanfarmaian zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 18.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 20.000,00 (€ 22.326,75) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Monir Farmanfarmaian erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Geometry Of Hope im April 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 375.000,00 (€ 431.378,37).
