Auction result misses estimated price range
In August 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work Iris by Monir Farmanfarmaian for GBP 1,912.50 (€ 2,228.06). This price was achieved in the auction Middle Eastern Art Online Sale including works from the Saatchi Collection at Bonhams in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 4,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Monir Farmanfarmaian achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Geometry Of Hope in April 2020 with an auction result of GBP 375,000.00 (€ 431,378.37).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im August 2021 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Iris von Monir Farmanfarmaian für GBP 1.912,50 (€ 2.228,06) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Middle Eastern Art Online Sale including works from the Saatchi Collection bei Bonhams in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 4.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Monir Farmanfarmaian erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Geometry Of Hope im April 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 375.000,00 (€ 431.378,37).
