Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Iranianchalk Design, Gatch Ii by Monir Farmanfarmaian was sold in the 20th Century Art / Middle East auction at Sothebys in London in April 2018. The price achieved of GBP 40,000.00 (€ 45,555.74) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 35,000.00 – 45,000.00. Admittedly, works by Monir Farmanfarmaian have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Geometry Of Hope in April 2020 with an auction result of GBP 375,000.00 (€ 431,378.37).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 40.000,00 (€ 45.555,74) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 35.000,00 – 45.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Monir Farmanfarmaian auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Geometry Of Hope im April 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 375.000,00 (€ 431.378,37).
