Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2015 Sothebys in London held the auction 20th Century Art – A Different Perspective, which included the work Iranian the Wall by Monir Farmanfarmaian. The price achieved of GBP 43,750.00 (€ 59,410.40) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 35,000.00 – 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Monir Farmanfarmaian have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Geometry Of Hope in April 2020 with an auction result of GBP 375,000.00 (€ 431,378.37).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2015 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 20th Century Art – A Different Perspective durch, in der auch die Arbeit Iranian the Wall von Monir Farmanfarmaian zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 43.750,00 (€ 59.410,40) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 35.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Monir Farmanfarmaian auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Geometry Of Hope im April 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 375.000,00 (€ 431.378,37).
