The »bidding war« ended at GBP 75,650.00 (€ 87,550.49), 38% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Monir Farmanfarmaian have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Geometry Of Hope in April 2020 with an auction result of GBP 375,000.00 (€ 431,378.37).

Die Arbeit A New Spring von Monir Farmanfarmaian wurde im Oktober 2011 in der Auktion Contemporary Art / Arab & Iranian bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 75.650,00 (€ 87.550,49) und damit 38% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Monir Farmanfarmaian auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Geometry Of Hope im April 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 375.000,00 (€ 431.378,37).
