Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March 2016 Christies in Dubai held the auction Modern & Contemporary Art, which included this untitled work by Mohammad Rawas. Here, the upper estimate of USD 22,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 22,500.00 (€ 19,754.17). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mohammad Rawas - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Revisiting Picasso's Guernica, which sold at auction in October 2014 for USD 81,250.00 (€ 64,844.37).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März 2016 führte Christies in Dubai die Auktion Modern & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Mohammad Rawas zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 22.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 22.500,00 (€ 19.754,17) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Mohammad Rawas mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Revisiting Picasso's Guernica beobachtet, die im Oktober 2014 für USD 81.250,00 (€ 64.844,37) versteigert wurde.
