In October 2011 Christies in Dubai held the auction Modern and Contemporary Arab, Iranian and Turkish ArtPart II, which included the work A La Recherche Du Temps Perdu by Mohammad Rawas. The result of USD 25,000.00 (€ 17,925.00) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mohammad Rawas - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Revisiting Picasso's Guernica, which sold at auction in October 2014 for USD 81,250.00 (€ 64,844.37).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Oktober 2011 führte Christies in Dubai die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Arab, Iranian and Turkish ArtPart II durch, in der auch die Arbeit A La Recherche Du Temps Perdu von Mohammad Rawas zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 17.925,00) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Mohammad Rawas mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Revisiting Picasso's Guernica beobachtet, die im Oktober 2014 für USD 81.250,00 (€ 64.844,37) versteigert wurde.
