Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Couple, Or Homage To Arshile Gorky by Mohammad Rawas was sold in the International Modern and Contemporary Art auction at Christies in Dubai in April 2008. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 22,500.00 (€ 14,452.72) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Mohammad Rawas have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Revisiting Picasso's Guernica in October 2014 with an auction result of USD 81,250.00 (€ 64,844.37).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A Couple, Or Homage To Arshile Gorky von Mohammad Rawas wurde im April 2008 in der Auktion International Modern and Contemporary Art bei Christies in Dubai versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 22.500,00 (€ 14.452,72) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Mohammad Rawas auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Revisiting Picasso's Guernica im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 81.250,00 (€ 64.844,37).
