Auction result well in line with expectations
In February last year Bonhams in London held the auction Middle Eastern Art Online Sale, which included the work The Lightness of Being by Mohammad Rawas. The price achieved of GBP 2,295.00 (€ 2,743.82) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mohammad Rawas achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Revisiting Picasso's Guernica in October 2014 with an auction result of USD 81,250.00 (€ 64,844.37).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Middle Eastern Art Online Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Lightness of Being von Mohammad Rawas zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.295,00 (€ 2.743,82) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mohammad Rawas erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Revisiting Picasso's Guernica im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 81.250,00 (€ 64.844,37).
