This artwork by Mitsuru Watanabe achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2013. In the Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction, the work Naoko Singing in Rousseau's Forest sold for HKD 450,000.00 (€ 44,625.81) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 180,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Mitsuru Watanabe; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Naoko Bathing in the Woods of Rousseau sold at auction in May 2016 with the realized price of HKD 687,500.00 (€ 79,462.28).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Mitsuru Watanabe erzielte im Mai 2013 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) wurde die Arbeit Naoko Singing in Rousseau's Forest für HKD 450.000,00 (€ 44.625,81) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 180.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Mitsuru Watanabe; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Naoko Bathing in the Woods of Rousseau im Mai 2016 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 687.500,00 (€ 79.462,28).
