Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Beginnings by Minor White was auctioned at Phillips in New York in October this year. The price achieved of USD 8,255.00 (€ 7,811.32) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 7,000.00 – 9,000.00. Admittedly, works by Minor White have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Photographs From 'Sequence 15' in October 2011 with an auction result of USD 62,500.00 (€ 44,812.50).

Die Arbeit Beginnings von Minor White kam im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 8.255,00 (€ 7.811,32) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 7.000,00 – 9.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Minor White auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Photographs From 'Sequence 15' im Oktober 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 62.500,00 (€ 44.812,50).
