Auction result well in line with expectations
In October this year Bonhams in London held the auction Photographs, which included the work 'Empty Head, Pultneyville, N.Y., February 1962' by Minor White. It changed hands for a price of USD 2,816.00 (€ 2,664.65) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Minor White achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Photographs From 'Sequence 15' in October 2011 with an auction result of USD 62,500.00 (€ 44,812.50).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit 'Empty Head, Pultneyville, N.Y., February 1962' von Minor White zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 2.816,00 (€ 2.664,65) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Minor White erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Photographs From 'Sequence 15' im Oktober 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 62.500,00 (€ 44.812,50).
