Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In June 2015 Artcurial held the auction Photography, which included the work Romy Schneider, Monté Carlo – 1963 by Milton Greene. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 5,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 5,200.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Milton Greene - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Nelly Nyad (1952), which sold at auction in October 2000 for USD 15,275.00 (€ 18,000.24).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juni 2015 führte Artcurial die Auktion Photography durch, in der auch die Arbeit Romy Schneider, Monté Carlo – 1963 von Milton Greene zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 5.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 5.200,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Milton Greene mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Nelly Nyad (1952) beobachtet, die im Oktober 2000 für USD 15.275,00 (€ 18.000,24) versteigert wurde.
