Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2020 a collector was able to acquire the work Untitled (Companion Piece for a Public Space) by Mike Nelson for GBP 2,500.00 (€ 2,788.56). This price was achieved in the auction First Open: Post-War & Contemporary Art Online at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mike Nelson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work British amnesiac Beach Fire, which sold at auction in June 2010 for EUR 7,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juli 2020 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Untitled (Companion Piece for a Public Space) von Mike Nelson für GBP 2.500,00 (€ 2.788,56) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion First Open: Post-War & Contemporary Art Online bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Mike Nelson mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit British amnesiac Beach Fire beobachtet, die im Juni 2010 für EUR 7.500,00 versteigert wurde.
