Auction result well in line with expectations
The work I Can’t See Me Without You by Mickalene Thomas was auctioned at Phillips in New York in November last year. The price achieved of USD 441,000.00 (€ 427,201.39) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 350,000.00 – 550,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mickalene Thomas - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Racquel Reclining Wearing Purple Jumpsuit, which sold at auction in May 2021 for USD 1,830,000.00 (€ 1,500,738.07).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 441.000,00 (€ 427.201,39) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 350.000,00 – 550.000,00 angegeben worden.
