The work Portrait Of Bernard Of Saxe-Weimar (1604-1639), Half-Length, In Armour, With A Lace Collar And An Embroidered Sash by Michiel van Mierevelt was auctioned at Christies in London in April 2016. The auction ended at the price of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 12,782.97), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Admittedly, works by Michiel van Mierevelt have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait of Jan van der Haer (1609-1665), half-length, in a black silk doublet with cutwork, edged with black lace; and Portrait of Levina Ockers (1607-1678), half-length, in a black dress with a double layered lace-trimmed ruff and jewelled collar in May 2014 with an auction result of EUR 79,500.00.
