In the Magnificent Nudes: Iconic Photographs from Distinguished Private Collections auction, the work Carla Bruni, 1993 (Safe Sex Campaign) sold for EUR 7,500.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Michel Comte have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Carla Bruni, 1993 in April 2008 with an auction result of USD 91,000.00 (€ 58,453.24).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Michel Comte erzielte im Juli 2020 bei Sothebys in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Magnificent Nudes: Iconic Photographs from Distinguished Private Collections wurde die Arbeit Carla Bruni, 1993 (Safe Sex Campaign) für EUR 7.500,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Michel Comte auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Carla Bruni, 1993 im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 91.000,00 (€ 58.453,24).
